Bank Respublika commenced its activity on May 22, 1992 in accordance with the license of National Bank of Azerbaijan. Nowadays, Bank Respublika is one of the leading banks in Azerbaijan. Among the shareholders of Bank Respublika there are two big German financial institutions – DEG Investment Corporation, a member of the KfW banking group, and Sparkassen International Development Trust, a member of the Sparkassen Finanzgruppe. According to the agreement signed on April 28, 2005 these two German financial institutions has a “25 % + 1 share” of the capital of Bank Respublika. Participation of big German financial institutions in the capital of Bank Respublika on one hand has been a good evidence of confidence to the Bank Respublika in international level, and on other hand, it has created new opportunities for the Bank’s future development. Bank Respublika also cooperates with various local and global financial institutions within the scope of various programs on business lending and trade financing. In general, the credit lines of more than 45 mln. USD. has been opened for Bank Respublika by various financial institutions. Among the main international and foreign financial institutions, which opened credit lines for Bank Respublika, the followings can be mentioned: European Bank for Reconstruction and Development – 10.5 mln USD, Asian Development Bank – 4 mln USD, DEG Investment Corporation – 5 mln USD, German-Azerbaijan Foundation – 2 mln EUR, Bank

gesellschaft Berlin – 5 mln USD, Black Sea Trade and Development Bank – 2.3 mln EUR, Holland Development Bank (FMO) – 2 mln USD, Raifeissen – 2 mln USD, Commerzbank – 1 mln USD. Bank Respublika has established correspondent relations with foreign banks, such as American Express Bank, Commerzbank, Dresdner Bank, Wachovia Bank, Savings Bank of Russian Federation, Alfa-Bank, European Trust Bank, Ruskiy Slavyanskiy Bank, Impeksbank, Promsvyazbank, Privatbank and Pareksbank. Bank Respublika is a member of MasterCard International and Visa International payment systems. Bank has also been connected to Western Union, Travelex Money Transfer, Contact, Migom, PrivatMoney and Bistraya Pochta money transfer systems. Bank Respublika attaches great importance to customer service and provides clients with large spectrum of different bank services such as account and settlement services, various types of consumer and business loans, documentary operations, deposits, plastic cards, money transfers, traveler cheques, bank safe renting, various distant services based on Internet technologies, etc. Among the clients of Bank Respublika there are many companies from different areas of economy such as industry, communication, telecommunication, engineering, construction, transport, agriculture, trade and service. Also, thousands of individuals use the services of Bank Respublika. Bank Respublika continually expands the client service network that includes 11 branches, 2 service points and 15 ATMs, which are located in Baku, Ganja, Yevlakh, Guba, Lenkaran and Khachmaz. The new branches and service points will have been opened by the end of the year. Bank Respublika is the only bank in Azerbaijan that serves individuals 24 hours / 7 days a week within the scope of Ofis24 project. The dynamic growth of financial indicators of the Bank is the result of successful work. In 2005, as in previous years, many financial indicators doubled in comparison with last year’s. By July 1, 2006 the total equity of Bank Respublika had exceeded 12.3 mln. USD and total assets had exceeded 90 mln. USD. Bank Respublika is among leading banks in Azerbaijan and strengthens its position in the bank market every year.

The aims of the policy of Human Resources established in the Bank for effective regulation of the labour relations are as follows:

Teller Services
Bank "Respublika" provides comprehensive financial products and services to its customers. Number of individual accounts is constantly growing. The growth in the Bank's client base illustrates that the bank has chosen the right path for development. There are many non-residents among the customers that are the result of flexibility and individual approach of each customer service.
