IBA is Azerbaijan's leading financial institution which represents an important development factor for the national banking industry and the national economy in general and fosters its integration into the world economy. IBA is the National Development Bank which has views and claims support to increasing welfare of the general public, protecting the best interest of its shareholders and providing utmost care to its customers as its top priority goals and values.
For individual customers

Private customers represent a major area of the IBA's business. The Bank has enhanced the volume of services provided to private customers over the past years. All groups of population use the Bank's services. Deposits (a total of 8 types) - "Children's deposit", "Teenager deposit", "Pensioner deposit", "Universal", "Capital", etc., are designed for different customer groups in terms of income and social protection levels. On the other hand, the Bank, considering its social mission, as well as the behavioral patterns of different groups of population and depositor motives, tends to use a balanced approach to pricing deposits and promote depositor activeness. IBA holds the first position among Azerbaijani banks in terms of private deposits. It should be noted that this has been accomplished despite of all interest rates being decreased by 1%. The VIP Banking project provides services to VIP individuals. At present, IBA offers a range of banking services using latest banking technologies. These services are grounded in different basic principles such as integrated approach, confidentially and intention to meet customer needs to the best extent possible. The Bank has expanded its presence in utiliy bill and cellular communications bill payments. Hence, over 100 service outlets receive such payments from individuals based on a system designed and implemented by IBA in conjunction with AzeriCard processing company's experts. IBA offers its customers American Express, Thomas Cook or VISA traveler cheque services. The Bank's customers have fully appreciated the benefits of such cheques as a secure and safe way of carrying and storing money while traveling. The Bank also offers its customers US Dollar or British Pound-denominated inscribed cheques issued by large reputable banks such as Bankers Trust or Barclays Bank. The Bank also provides collection services, that is cashing of such cheques. Partnership with MoneyGram enables the Bank's customers to make urgent real-time money transfers in foreign currencies. Transfers enabled by this system are quick, reliable and convenient. A new system has been set up for money transfers between IBA-Moscow and IBA. The system allows for transferring money from anywhere Russia to Azerbaijan and vice versa without having to open an account, and with only a small fee paid.The Bank offers currency exchange services to its customers through its broad currency exchange office and cash office network. IBA tends to continually improve its private customer operations, continues to introduce latest banking products and explore new horizons of customer service to ensure that any customer need is met even before requested.
Transfers
Correspondent network of IBA allows implementing transfer with minimal spending of money and time worldwide. Establishing of representative office "The International Bank of Azerbaijan - Moscow" allows our compatriots living and carrying business in Moscow sending money to their families in Azerbaijan during 15 - 20 minutes only. Number of transfers is gradually increased because of profitable combination of cheapness and speed. Possibilities of IBA allow implementing money transferring worldwide both having bank's account and without it. Transfer period may be varied from 15 minutes up to three days depending on chosen type. The transfer system "IBA - Ukrsotsbank" without a bank account has enabled our fellow countrymen who live or work in Ukraine to send money to their families in Azerbaijan. The IBA's capacities allow making transfers all over the world both with and without a bank account. Depending on the option you choose the time of the transfer will range from 15 minutes to 3 days.
Loans
International Bank of Azerbaijan closely cooperates with individual customers to ensure that their credit needs are satisfied. IBA takes the lead among the country's banks in terms of private customer service. Pursuant to the IBA's credit policy, the Bank builds the bank-customer relations only on terms favorable for both counterparts. Our bank has the lowest average interest rate on loans to individual customers. International Bank of Azerbaijan offers the following types of loans to both residents and non-resident individuals in Azerbaijan. Loans are issued for different periods depending on the purpose, business-plan and customer's creditworthiness:
- Short-term loans - from one day to one year;
- Long-term loans - over one year;
Plastic cardsThe Bank pays special attention to the rapidly developing plastic card business. Promotion of non-cash settlements by using plastic cards is crucial for the whole economy, hence which has become a business priority for the IBA. IBA, as a full member of "VISA International" and "MasterCard International", offers broad choice of plastic card services ranging from issuing to using. Having a processing company of its own enables the Bank to improve the quality of service and develop new bank products delivered to holders of international plastic cards. The ATM network of the International Bank of Azerbaijan covers 25 towns across the country, including Baku, Nakhchivan, Sumgayit, Ganja, Ali Bayramly, Mingechevir, etc. This network consists of 300 ATM terminals. IBA also tends to promote the acquiring network: over 200 trade and service entities accept the bank's cards; major stores, famous boutiques, restaurants, hotels and other business entities are now equipped to allow for using plastic cards. Some of these entities provide discounts to customers using plastic cards for payment. The acquiring terminal network makes the "card" payments even more affordable and attractive to customers. VISA InterCard and MasterCard WebCard cards designed for payments via the Internet are becoming more and more popular. It should be noted that using plastic cards for paying utility and cellphone bills has been increasing quite intensively. Growth has been also accomplished in the area of bank cards designated for corporate clients. Seeking to promote this particular area of business, the IBA implements the "salary" project in addition to corporate cards. They account for 90% of all cards issued. The effectiveness of this system was tested and proven through servicing 60 thousand staff members of around 300 enterprises and organizations across the country.A transition is envisaged to a new type of cards: chip-based cards. Such cards have a memory capacity and number of functions incomparably larger than magnetic strip cards. The infrastructure of card business will expand substantially. Current plans for development of card business include issuing a range of new plastic card products; expanding the credit card customer (holder) base; enhancing implementation of the "salary" projects and programs; and implementing an Internet-Acquiring project for trade and service enterprises. Receiving SMS-updates by cardholders on card account balances and transactions when shopping will play an important role in improvement of the quality of card services. Larger-scale advertisement campaigns are planned for promotion of card products.
