Mission

InfoTek is a non-governmental and non-commercial organization established in 2001. Mission of InfoTek is to foster social and economic development of Azerbaijan through ensuring the ICT promotion within the country and facilitating the integration of Azerbaijan into the global community through merging national and International communities by the most effective and exciting online techniques.

Goals

The central goals of the InfoTek are as follows:

• Leverage the capacity of the Internet as a cost-effective tool for the country\'s development efforts;
• Promote integration of the country into the increasingly digitized global community;
• Catalyze development of the "new economy": promote e-business, e-banking, e-training, e-communities, and e-government;
• Build, mobilize, and upgrade local content and capacity;
• Mobilize private finance to develop the Internet infrastructure;
• Provide opportunities and incentives for moving many social interactions online trough AzDG portal;
• Create a common information, communication, transaction, and training platform.

Impact

InfoTek generates ICT related projects to eliminate poverty in Azerbaijan. InfoTek products and services cover private companies, students, school students, art and crafts makers, Internet users, and NGO representatives. The InfoTek encompasses necessary offline and online tools to address development needs and demand of Azerbaijan community.

Education

Education is at the core of our work for sustainable development. We offer a wide range of programmes for students, young people, adult learners and corporate clients. Our education activities aimed to provide our customers with modern knowledge and information necessary for their competing and development in a new economy.

Strategy

InfoTek has launched its new strategy for 2005 - 2010 years. The main goal of its strategy is to provide the sustainability and long-term impact for its services and products.
We believe that this strategy will enable us to better serve our customers and make greater impact for their development. The InfoTek team revealed that there are great demands for InfoTek services and products. To achieve this strategy InfoTek sees the next objectives:

• Introduce corporate management and vertically integrate all InfoTek projects and regional centres under one umbrella;
• Develop products and services based on business principles;
• Enhance the partnership activities;
• Enhance the fundraising activities;
• Participate in regional and national projects
