Overview

Guba region kindergarten #13 began its activity in 1963 and comprised of six groups.  The kindergarten employs ten high-educated trainers and upbringers that look after 110 children. Lots of meetings and holidays has been conducted these years. The kindergarten takes active part at regional meetings and is a winner of numerous contests and owner Honored Diplomas. In order to be of every help to kindergartens and schools working by Step-by-Step program within the kindergarten there were opened Training Center by Open Society Institution Aid Fund. The main goal of the center is the assistance to schools and kindergartens functioning in Guba, Gusar and khachmaz regions, and joint measures with Guba branch of Teacher Training Institution. Since 2001 two groups began work by Step-by-Step program, while the other four groups joined this technology in 2003. The Training Center undertakes to attract local specialists to system of raising the improvement of professional skills thanks to its Step-by-Step program.

Implementation of Children and Family Interests

Guba region kindergarten #13 works with Step-by-Step program since 2000. This technology gives flexibility to both children and their parents. For, parents alongside with their children can participate at every trainings they wish, what underlines superior feature of the technology. As practice shows, parents` participation promotes children`s activeness during trainings (story-telling, picture drawing). At the same time, this strengthens trainer-parent relations. Ideas drawn by Step-by-Step technology promotes children`s practice, individualization, gives opportunity for every child to grow in a unique tempo, and assist them in formation their personality. Thus, children make their own choice at topics they want to participate at (literature, art, manipulative table games, science, play plot games, drama, sand and water). For instance, topic "Wild Animals". After making their choice children divide into groups, first group draws pictures of wild animals, second one cuts and sticks these pictures, third one model these animals, forth one expresses their thoughts on these animals, fifth one plays games and so on. And this kind of activity helps children to implement their knowledge in overcoming obstacles they encounter, to build relations, and fosters formation of abilities to freely achieve targets and aims. This also motivates children towards research, initiative and creative work. It raises children`s awareness in expressing free speech in future and protecting their rights. All of this means that Step-by-Step technology has superiority in freedom of realization of children`s dreams.
Guba region kindergarten #13 as a result of first place at competition "Best Kindergarten" during 2003-2004 educational years had been awarded Honored Diploma by Guba Region Education Deprtment.
